Every session can be shot for motion as well as stills — vertical cuts for socials, a longer film for the wedding, or a brand reel.
The name is the
whole method.
seenbymorales is one word because it is one act. Not photographed by — seen by. The emphasis belongs on attention rather than equipment, which is the honest description of the work: noticing something about a person, then holding still long enough to keep it.
I shoot in available light, or light that looks available. Sessions are unhurried on purpose — the first ten minutes are spent walking and talking, and by the time we have covered a block you have forgotten the camera.
You do not have to smile. Some of the strongest portraits are of people simply looking back.
